Preparing for Christ’s Return: A Call to Holy Living

Introduction:
Jesus is coming again. The early church lived in constant readiness, and we too must prepare ourselves spiritually, morally, and relationally for His glorious return.
The Promise of His Return
“This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” — Acts 1:11 (KJV)
Christ’s return is not symbolic or metaphorical — it is literal and imminent. This hope must shape the way we live today.
Recognizing the Signs
The Bible describes clear signs that precede His return, including:
- Widespread moral decay (2 Timothy 3:1–5)
- The restoration of Israel (Matthew 24:32–34)
- Global instability, famines, and pestilence (Luke 21:11)
Living in Readiness
- Walk in personal purity and holiness
- Be active in sharing the Gospel
- Live in constant prayer and spiritual alertness
“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” — Matthew 24:42 (KJV)
Conclusion:
The return of Christ is a reality that should stir urgency in our lives. Let us watch, pray, and live in holiness, preparing ourselves and others for the day we meet Him.
